Starting off Right

So i'm challenging myself to read 150 books this year, which is 50 books less than last year, but since i'm working now, i don't have as much time as i did.

So far i've read 2 more books than i did in January of 2010.

my leeeest:

January
1-1 Oh No She Didn’t - Clinton Kelly (1/1)
2-2 Fashion A History from the 18th to the 20th Century - Kyoto Costume Institute (1/7)
3-3 Vampire Knight Volume 11 - Matsuri Hino (1/8)
4-4 Dark Slayer - Christine Feehan (1/11/11)
5-5 Blood Promise - Richelle Mead (1/15)
6-6 Blue Bloods - Melissa De La Cruz (1/18)
7-7 The Summoning - Kelly Armstrong (1/21)
8-8 Masquerade Blue Bloods Book 2 - Melissa De La Cruz (1/24)
9-9 Revelations Blue Bloods Book 3 - Melissa De La Cruz (1/25)
10-10 The Van Alen Legacy Blue Bloods 4 - Melissa De La Cruz (1/26)
11-11 Spirit Bound Vampire Academy Book 5 - Richelle Mead (1/27)
12-12 Last Sacrifice Vampire Academy Book 6 - Richelle Mead (1/29)
13-13 White Cat - Holly Black (1/31)

Though i might be able to fit in "The Key to the Respository" by Melissa De La Cruz (in the Blue Bloods series) i still need to side load it onto my Nook.

Yes i've read a ton, but i still haven't finished my second sock /sigh

This is my rifle. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

Everytime i look at my one finished sock i think of this chant from Full Metal Jacket.

This is my sock, there are others like it but this one is mine =D

I've started and completed one sock in a pair. having some difficulty with the second, but i'm working on it.
This is the Blackrose Pattern on Knitty. the right sock is actually already finished, but it's the only picture i have ;P

Christmas Presents

i'm a slacker. i've said it before and i'll say it again. My spare time has been taken up by reading and knitting. This is my time that's not taken by work and my child. Today is ross' birthday, and since he got a new electric griddle he's insisting on making pancakes for breakfast. so i have a few minutes.

since i'm behind there might be a couple blog posts from me today.

I made a couple christmas present this year, not as many as last year, but i burned myself out on scarves.

I made a Citron for my sister-in-law Lindsay. Got quite a few compliments on it from my MIL and Lindsay, they have a hard time believing how far i've come with knitting. I used Malabrigo Lace in Cognac.

I made a Saroyan for my Momma. She loved it, kept petting it. It's made with Malabrigo Worsted in Indigo.

My Grandmother-In-Law got a Reading shawl in Knitpicks yarn, it's SW Merino and a nice dark Green Color. it was a request (the green, not the shawl) i've been told she was very VERY happy about it.

I made Alice Mitts for my SIL too, in Vanna's Choice dusky purple.

My FIL got a 6 1/2 hour throw using Lion Brand Homespun in greens, looks kinda camo, but it's soft!

That's pretty much it for my hand-knit christmas gifts this year. I had so many plans, but this is all i got done /sigh
