Weigh-in

So my weigh days are Fridays.

I'm trying really hard to keep motivated, and my bestie is helping with that soooo much. We text constantly throughout the day. Send each other healthy recipes to add to our meal plans (I'm lucky, my family will eat veggies). We also have a private Facebook group where we post our progress for the day, motivational memes, song playlist ideas, workout videos, and shop links.

Pinterest has been invaluable. Both for recipes, and fitness plan additions.

My typical week:

Breakfast (protein bar)

Workout - elliptical, hula hoop, yoga, Zumba, diastis work, walking/jogging. Yoga usually gets paired with diastis, which I equate to Pilates. I'm going to start adding Bellydance back into the mix soon.

Snack (fruit)

Lunch (low cal, protein)

Snack (salty or vegetable)

Dinner (portion controlled, vegetarian)

I also drink 120oz of water a day throughout.

So. My weight.

Guessed starting weight - 220lbs
Adjusted starting weight - 231lbs
First weigh in - 228lbs

Loss so far - 3 lbs

Project 333

So I keep seeing this pop up on Instagram, and decided that it might be what I need to cut down the clutter in my closet/dresser.

I have sooooo many articles of clothing, and most of them live on the floor instead of the dresser, or back in the closet where they belong.

I am ashamed

So today after my workout I decided to go through all my clothes and take the plunge. Keep in mind my workout clothes, pjs, undies, and sentimental jewelry don't count (so my gram, and my rings, aren't part of the 33).

Here is my list

- black denim jeans
- blue denim jeans
- black leggings
- grey and red pinstripe slacks
- black/grey maxi dress
- black maxi dress
- black/grey dress w/pockets
- coral sleeveless shirt
- velvet roses tank
- purple tie dye jeweled shirt
- purple peasant blouse
- gs troop tee
- gs cookie sale tee
- malificent pokemon tee
- evil puff girls tee
- fox girl tee
- doctor who angels tee
- doctor who Harry potter tee
- purple witch tee
- zombie eat flesh tee
- walking dead tee
- the raven tee
- teal braided neck tee
- black braided neck tee
- crocheted neck tank
- grey/grey polo
- beware perverts tee
- purple peasant tee
- black and bronze flowered tank
- tan beaded sandals
- purple bob's shoes
- purple studded purse
- grey hobo bag

Now, I purged a lot of stuff. And stashed my "winter" wardrobe and peacoat for my seasonal change in November.

I also refuse to get rid of my Vera Bradley purses. So they are also put away. It might be hoarding, but they were expensive.

My last "um, no" was my renn faire garb/Bellydance stuff. Most is handmade, and expensive to purchase. It's a specialty item that I only wear a few times a year.

Since I've lost some weight (and a whole freaking dress size!!) some of my handknits are being rehomed. Oh well, I'll just have to make new >:)

Here is the website for anyone who wants to try it out <3

1200 square feet

That's how big our house is

Townhouse really, we're in a quad

With 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms

And 5 people.

Originally we moved in before Kaeley was born, the plan was: David would live with us for a couple months, maybe as much as a year. He'd save money, we'd save money, and he'd move out.

After year 4 it was just a joke.

Now we're on year 9, technically we moved in in may of 2005, and he's FINALLY moving out.

Finally

The room he's moving out of should be condemned. And it's the MASTER suite.

I'm looking at the amount of work we're going to have to do:

- rip out carpet in bedroom 1
- tile bedroom 1
- paint master and 1
- rip out and replace master bath
- replace verticals in master
- bug bomb entire house...multiple times

And then there is reorganizing everything, books, movies, games, Dave has a ton of my movies that have disappeared into his pit never to be seen again.

------

I'm happy, and pissed. He isn't giving us much notice, and it's going to be a stupid amount of work, and money we're suddenly in the negative on. I'll be trying to wrangle a toddler and paint, and rip carpet, and tile...etc.

Hurray

Cake!

So the chick on a diet volunteered to bake a cake....

I used box mix but made some substitutions.

Instead of 3 eggs I used 2 bananas
Instead of 1/3c oil, 1/3 cup applesauce
I also added about 20 drops of blue dye

Bakin at tree-fity!

Be cool man, be cool

I am not a professional cake decorator.

And it was so hot in the house the frosting was melty, I put in the fridge and it's happy now.

It's not the prettiest cake, but it was made with love for my mama's Birfday

Animals!

Today we made a trip to Busch's Wildlife Sanctuary. It's like the zoo, only smaller, shady, and FREE!

Connor loved all the birds. I was sad the otters weren't out playing and the alligator/croc tank was closed.

Whatchoo lookin at?!

Fitness!

Yeah....so....my New Years resolutions fell down immediately this year. I'm horrible, and fairly lazy.

But I'm on a kick. And hoping I can keep motivated!

So here's some new in my life:

(The large hoop!) is a Gold's Gym weighted hula hoop. The big bastard weighs 2.5 lbs and kicks the crap outta me. It's HARD. And almost as much exercise in picking it up when it drops. Also....I have bruises...from a hula hoop.

Weeeeee!

I download the cutest damn app to help keep track of my water intake. This is a hard one for me. I was drinking, almost exclusively, Coca Cola. I'm down to maybe 2 - 20oz bottles a week. I'm drinking green tea to keep the caffeine migraine at bay.

This is Bubba. He's my Plant Nanny sprout. I'm in love with this app! I drink water, he grows up!

This is my folder on my phone to keep me motivated. I count my calories (food journal - keeps me from snacking). everytime Connor and I go for a walk, we stroll for Charity. I jog away from zombies at least once a week. And meditate (letting the kids create my zen) before bed.

It helps that my BFF is on the exact same program (minus the zombies). So we're holding each other accountabe via a private Facebook group and texts

I'm tired of being fat. I know I'll never be a size 6 again. But I'd settle for 12 over the 22 that I am now ::sigh::
