Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow

that's the acronym for EPCOT in Orlando, Florida...just in case.

we went to epcot on sunday, instead of trying to get to megacon again. which was a nightmare (See previous Downtown Disney post..omgwtfbbq!)

as stupid as it sounds, i was ridiculously happy that connor was "mickey's guest". he was free. don't get me wrong, that's awesome. but he was MICKEY'S GUEST! ok i'm a dork.

my children had super fun happy time. we got to go on ALL  the rides TOGETHER. there was no "ok i'll wait off this ride with the toddler while you go with kae, then we'll switch." nope! connor got to go on everything. (ok with the exception of the Spaceship and the Test Track. which wasn't fair because, cars.)

peeeektures!

Now...figment is awesome..
This is Kaeley's figment

52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge

I've done this challenge for the last 4 years or so, to keep track of everything i read. Now i not only keep track in the ravelry group (52 books in 52 weeks) but also on my Goodreads.

I've been slacking on my blog, and i'm hoping to change that here soon. so here is my January and February reading list!

7-17 If I Die - Rachel Vincent (1/26) forgot to add in january
8-18 Hypoerbole and a Half - Allie Brosh (2/26) free/library

January - i had the book hangover from hell form the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent. I LOVE HER, and all the books I've read by her, these did not disappoint. Even though the books gave me the sad. it was even a sort of bittersweet ending. sadz.

February - I Was so disappointed with Unhinged, i really liked Splintered and  was hoping she'd continue with the fun, but it was just so forced. I also gave up on The White Rabbit chronicles by Showalter, who i also love, so it's not a hit on the author, just the series. I think i'm finally done with my Alice in Wonderland inspired crazy though. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown was my FAVORITE for the month, with Blood Rights being a very close second.

Downtown Disney

So we'd planned to go to Megacon on Saturday.

Yeah, right.

We got into the line TO PARK at 9:30...and waited an hour and a half to move less than a mile.

So we went to downtown Disney instead.

(Megacon attendance was estimated at 83,000 people, just for Saturday....)

We digged for Dinos at TRex

Played with Legos at the Lego store

And met some frozen cast members

It was so much less stressful than a toddler in a stroller around that many people.

It's garden time!

It's time for seeding the garden! We've planted white onions, a lettuce/greens blend, and Brussels sprouts!

The green onion, green pepper, and blueberries from last year are still going strong.

Red Queen

Kae's class did research projects on castles in February, kaeley researched Frankenstein Castle in Germany (sniff- so proud).

Her group ended up building Sleeping Beauty's castle from DisneyLand. Which is sorta based on Neuschwanstein castle in Poland. Which is super pretty btw.

They then had a Fairytale Ball, where they had to do a report on their fairytale character and dress at them for school.

Kae went as the red queen from Alice in Wonderland (you may recall that she was Alice in the Storybook Parade in Kindergarten). Are we sensing a theme?

I took a stapler and a deck of cards to her Halloween costume lol

And we painted some roses red ;)

Troop 20034

The girls decided to spend their cookie money on a sleepover trip to the south Florida science museum.

3 of the 5 were able to attend :(

There was an ice burg in the titanic exhibit!

They are ridiculously over dramatic

I was there (and eaten by a dinosaur)

And my co-leader the grasshopper

This was my view as I was trying to drift off to sleep in the arctic cave (on concrete).

Daddy daughter 2014

Kae and Ross at their 3rd Daddy-Daughter dance!

Lots of stripes....

Nothing fancy with the hair this year

Connor wearing Kae's Mardi gras mask!

He is two...

Well crap

I'm not ready
